A Filey Photography Day

Last week I headed over to Filey for the evening for an event at Haven. It’s been a while since I’ve been out for the day just me and my camera, so I headed down towards the beach to see what I could find. And I wasn’t disappointed with the quality of the work I produced. This post is the first time I’ve dared share my work so publicly, so please be kind! It features lots of photos of the beach, and a gorgeous park just above the beach. They were all taken on the same day-June 29th, 2017-between 2 and 4, on a misty, drizzly Thursday. And I love them.

I have to admit it’s been a bit scary putting my work out there like this for you guys. But if I want to grow Laura Haley Photography as a small business I need to do far more sessions like this, whilst I decide what kind of photography I want to do as a paid gig. If you have suggestions of what/where I should try to take some picture I’m all ears.

I’m hoping to do some more of these posts for you too so, please do comment and let me know what you think? I’m still developing as a photographer, for sure, so constructive criticism is welcomed too. I WILL delete any comments that are downright critical-simply because I feel that photography, like any art form, is down to personal taste-there’ll be things we all like or dislike and that’s fine, but lets not knock each other down, eh?

I love this collection of photos, Laura, you have captured the essence of Filey perfectly – one of my favourite places. I live in West Yorks too.
Going to have a better look at your blog now!
