A few weeks ago I spotted that a bunch of Leeds bloggers were going for afternoon tea-obviously I wanted on. So I headed to Skylounge at the Doubletree Hilton at 1pm to meet some lovely girlies for a bloggers afternoon tea.
I already knew Kayleigh from the Manchester Bloggers Market, it was ace to see her again. Daisie is guest blogging for me on Wednesday so meeting her a few days before was an amazing coincidence. The other girls were all lovely too.
I couldn’t resist getting the selfie stick out for a group photo!
Afternoon Tea itself was-alright, I guess. I enjoyed it but I didn’t love it and for £15 it could have been better.
It was lovely to meet and chat to the girls and we had a lovely couple of hours. I hope I get to meet up with them all again!
After Afternoon Tea I went to meet a couple of friends for some cocktails. I thought I’d do a quick rundown of where we went and what we drank, as part of this post.
Left: Raspberry & White Chocolate Martini (me) Top Right: Cinammon Apple (Nat) Bottom Right: Screwba (Hayley)
My drink was nice, creamy and fruity but quite strong. I didn’t like Nat’s as I don’t like Cinammon. Hayley’s was so fruity and yummy, my favourite of the round.
Hayley’s drink seemed to be mainly Gin, too much for me! Nat’s was nice and I really enjoyed my Screwball.
Our first cocktail here was free as it was Hayley’s birthday, and now you and up to 6 friends get a free cocktail each on your birthday and your half birthday. Cool, right?
We all had Bubblegum Daquiris as they are a firm favourite with us. We split a sharing platter as we were hungry. Yum.
Hayley also got birthday cake, which she shared with us, and the staff sang to her. We then had another cocktail-Summer Peach for me and Nat and Turkish Delight for Hayley-which did taste very like Turkish Delight but wasn’t very nice. Summer Peach was lovely but a bit too Orangey for my taste.
After TGIs we went to The Botanist where the girls had another drink but I had water due to having to take a strong painkiller. We then went to Trinity Kitchen for tea before heading home on the train. A lovely day!
Where do you really like in Leeds?
