Last Saturday I was invited by the very lovely team at Bon Prix to join them and lots of lovely Leeds (and surrounding areas) bloggers for #bonprixontherocks, their cocktail party event. Obviously I wasn’t going to turn down the chance to put on a gorgeous dress and have drinks with my faves, and with Bon Prix sending me a dress of my choice too it was even better.
I’ve been spending my evenings getting my hair from brown to grey via blonde, and so I was excited to debut the new do. Sadly due to a few sizing issues I didn’t end up with my Bon Prix dress for the event (but they are sending me my dress to do outfit shots with, which is lovely of them) and so I rocked a New Look dress from last year instead.
We were really well looked after all night-the wine and prosecco was flowing, canapes kept arriving and we had a professional photographer to get some brilliant shots (the photos in this post are all his, because I struggled with the lighting!) There were lots of comfy chairs to sit in, lots of gorgeous dresses to admire, and so many faces I either know OF or know well. I would’ve had a good night if it were just for that, but no-it got better….
We did COCKTAIL MAKING CLASSES!
We were split into two groups and within the groups we split into teams of three-I was with Louise and Emma and they were brilliant to work with (ie we had a right laugh) we managed to make our two cocktails-a Sassy Saphire (a gin mojito, basically) and a Cosmopolitan which was called something different but I’ve forgotten as clearly too many cocktails addled my brain-whoops.
I was fully getting the 9:15 train but me and Louise didn’t leave until about 9:30 because we were too comfy and had some cocktail left-so we finally wandered on to the train station and spent half an hour waiting for our trains, looking at our goodybags (which had a cocktail glass and alcohol because Bon Prix clearly know us well!) and talking about boys. A brilliant end to the night.
I’ll do an outfit post soon when I finally choose my Bon Prix dress and in the meantime, if you fancy seeing more of the photos from the night, pop over to my Instagram.
Have you seen Bon Prix’s gorgeous clothes before?
