The new Ed Sheeran album is currently on repeat in my car. I’ve been a fan of his for a while but I don’t tend to buy CDs these days, I just stream instead. I broke my own rule with Divide, though, and bought a copy-as well as a copy of his first two albums. I’ve got a few long drives planned, as well as my flight to Palma in four weeks time, and thought I’d appreciate the music on the journey.
When I was asked to write a post in conjunction with Panasonic, about my favourite songs/albums/artists, I was quite excited. I don’t talk about my musical tastes on here usually and I don’t really know why, I guess it’s nice to try something new. I could be here all day talking about music I love, so instead I thought I’d tell you the last three albums I listened to in my car.
From the new album, I’m loving Eraser, New Man, Galway Girl, and Dive-although the whole album is fab, these are the songs I keep replaying if I’m just doing a short journey.
Alex Turner is one of my favourites for sure. I love his lyrics and I find myself singing along in a South Yorkshire accent (well, I’m only in West Yorkshire, so Sheffield isn’t far from me)
I’ve got his greatest hits which I love singing along to. The guy has such a gorgeous, gravelly voice. So so good.
I feel a bit bad that there’s no female artists in my last listened to albums-oops. I’ve been loving Avril Lavigne‘s first album recently, which takes me right back to my high school years. Beyonce is always a firm favourite (who doesn’t love Queen Bey?) and Kirsty Maccoll has one of my favourite voices ever.
If I’m not listening to music in my car, or Xfm/Heat Radio/Absolute Radio 90s on my DAB digital radio in the kitchen, I’m playing an album upstairs. I’m in dire need of some better speakers though and I’ve been lusting after these Wireless Speakers by Panasonic which will have to be my treat to myself soon.
Which artists do you love? Tell me in the comments below.
*This post was written in conjunction with Panasonic and I have been compensated for my time writing this. All artists mentioned in this post are artists I genuinely adore and I’ve written this post myself.
