If you’re anything like me, once you’ve worried about where to go for your first date, you’ll then start worrying about what to wear. That’s always a big one for me, I end up trying on everything I own, asking my Whatsapp group chat for their advice-and then wearing the same thing I always wear anyway. Typical.
I think it’s really important to think about what you wear on your first date (or any date, to be honest!) You want to look good, of course, but you also want to feel comfortable and confident. There’s nothing wrong with rocking that micro mini and those killer heels if you’re up for that, but I’d spend the whole time trying to tug my skirt down and that wouldn’t help my first date nerves. For me, I go for jeans and a flattering top-like a dressy vest top, or a nice shirt-and a blazer if it’s colder. I would also consider a comfy dress, like a wrap dress, if I could ever find one I like! There is some good news though-not many men actually notice what you’re wearing on a date anyway, so if it’s men you’re dating, wear whatever you want and don’t worry at all!
In all seriousness-I’m not telling you what you should or shouldn’t wear. The ONLY person who should do that is you. And I don’t care what size you are, either-you wear what you know you look good in. If you love it, your date should love you in it, and if they don’t-well, they’re not the one for you, are they?
The more of these dating posts I write the more dating sites I discover: this time it’s senior dating site, London dating, Berkshire dating, Glasgow dating, Wiltshire dating site. It’s definitely going to be worth looking at more than one because that opens you up to meeting so many more people, and therefore you’re more likely to find the one you’re looking for.
