Candace Bushnell, author of Sex and the City, famously mused ‘Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.’ That’s how I feel about my girls, if I’m honest. I AM hopeful that I’ll meet the man of my dreams and settle down, but I KNOW that no matter what, these girls are going to be in my life forever. They’re my biggest cheerleaders, my closest confidants, and make me laugh like no one else ever has or ever will. When Pretty Gifted asked me if I wanted to work together again after we collaborated at Christmas, I knew I wanted to get something I could use to send my girls a gift for Galentines Day-though I’ll confess, I haven’t found the perfect gift in time so I’ll be using it next year. I did want to use this post to tell them all how much I appreciate them and why, though-so here goes.
Lizi-my closest Leeds blogger friend by far. You’re always there to listen and I love our (not often enough) friend dates. Thank you for understanding me and I’m glad you feel able to confide in me too. I adore you.
Hayley-even though I hadn’t properly met you when I came to Winchester, I felt like I’d known you forever (in a good way) You make me laugh with your straight talking, no shit sense of humour and I admire you so much for following your dreams and going back to do your masters.
Haydy-you inspire me to do better with my photography and my blog. I love that you will always share your knowledge with us because you want us to do better too. I also love your love of doggos, you have definitely made me appreciate our canine friends more.
Kellie-you are the kind of person I want to be. The infinite patience you have doing your job amazes me, I could not do it. You’re the best at advice and would always be the person I asked an opinion from in a crisis, knowing you’d be honest but also really helpful. You’re the best.
Rach-you make me laugh. I love hearing about what you’re up to, listening to your Trek America adventures was so much fun and I’m loving getting to read all about it too. I want to travel as much as you do, and I want my content to be as good too.
Milly-even though I’m yet to meet you (hopefully we make this happen very soon!) and you’re not in the chat as often as some of us, when you are you’re so bloody funny. I’m so glad to call you a friend.
Kariss-one of the first Leeds bloggers I got talking to and I’m so glad I did. Through you I’ve met some of the other girls and you setting up that chat is the best thing anyone’s ever done. I love your ridiculous phone autocorrects and I love your company.
What would you like to say to your girls?
*Pretty Gifted sent me the giftwrap featured in this post but the contents of the post, and the overall theme, was all up to me.
