July Goals

Hello!

I’ve not done a goals post in a while and I actually kind of miss that-I think it can be good to decide what you want to do with a month and then write it down, so you don’t forget. I always feel like I’m accountable to you guys, my readers, and so I really need to work hard to achieve what I’ve said I’m aiming for. Anyone else feel like this?

I thought I’d change it up a little bit for July and do my goals in three categories, so that I can break them down into blog, personal, and photography. Do let me know what you think of this format.

Blog

Have a mini redesign. By that I mean I want a pretty signature for under every post, I want a nice title for every post, and a nice font across my whole blog. Seems like a small thing, but it’ll really make me happier with Inside Laura’s Head. It’ll take a while, though-so many posts to update!

Post at least 10 times during the month. I want to get back to blogging daily, eventually, but there’s so much behind the scenes stuff I still need to do, along with some freelance projects, that I don’t have time right now. 10 posts in the month should be achievable.

Promote my posts properly. I’ve stopped doing this and my page views have really suffered, unsurprisingly. When I promote well, my views are good. Lets get back to that!

Photography

Do something that scares me. I’ve been asked by work to take photos at a golf day they’re having, and whilst I take photos for my Dad’s golf club (he’s captain this year) doing them for work is a bit nerve wracking. So I said yes.

Take a big batch of stock photos to use on Instagram, and in blog posts that don’t have their own photos (like this one)

Update my Flickr. I have so many photos that need to go on there, and just never get round to it.

Personal

Get up earlier. I want to be sat downstairs for half an hour before I leave for work. Currently I get up, get ready, rush to the fridge, grab my lunch, and leave.

Save £500. (I have actually done this, but it’s whether I last the full month without dipping into that money that’s the challenge!)

Lose half a stone. Self explanatory, really.

    I want to start getting into a routine more, but I tend to work Monday to Wednesday night and so I really value my sleep in the day haha
