Yesterday I did something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but never had the opportunity to. No, not kiss Ryan Gosling (oh, how I wish!) but attend a Bloggers Event!
Katie from Curvaceous Beauty organised the event for 30 bloggers, due to illness, house moves and other assorted life events there were (I think!) 19 attendees-not bad at all. It was very difficult to get round and speak to everyone and in fact I didn’t manage to do that properly-sorry to the ladies I didn’t get to chat to.
Katie had cleverly arranged three guest speakers for us-the very lovely Georgina who spoke about running her successful blog She Might Be Loved, Liz from Stella & Dot who showed us lots of lovely Stella & Dot jewellery (and sold me a gorgeous bangle, more on Stella & Dot when my bangle arrives) and Nathalie from Tropic Skincare who let us have a play with Tropic’s skincare and makeup range. I must also mention Gemma, from The Button Boutique who not only provided us with a beautiful, quirky venue but tea, coffee and delicious cakes too. I love her!
I was lucky enough to be one of three girls who won a prize in the free raffle-three The Library Of Fragrance scents (Rain, Orange Blossom and Gin & Tonic) this absolutely made my day, not least because I’ve been eyeing up this range for AGES but have put myself on a perfume buying ban! It’s fate, they were meant to be mine.
To make a great day even better, we were all given a goodybag to thank us for attending. If you follow me on Twitter you may have already seen these exciting bags but for those who don’t, here you go:
And the contents? A piece of jewellery from Stella & Dot (I got leaf earrings, others got different things) Skincare from Deborah Mitchell, Laimon Fresh drink (kind of like a Mojito without the rum-I may have to add rum!) necklace and earrings from Magic Accessories, a Stylfile (I have one already, it’s ace!) perfume samples from Colour Me, an eyeliner brush from Nanshy, Cream Cleanser and Cloth from Bee Good, and a piece of jewellery (mine was a broach, others got different things I think) from Jewell Emporium. Talking of them, they have some lovely things starting from just £1.50 and have offered me and my followers 10% off using the code Glitter 43. I’ll be treating myself to some things for sure!
Have you attended a bloggers’ event before? Would you?
