If you follow me on any of my social media (links at the bottom of this post, you really should!) you’ll know that on Thursday I went to three events in one night. The first was the Benito Brow Bar relaunch, the third is coming up in the next few days, and the second was the much anticipated launch of the NYX Cosmetics counter in Trinity Leeds.
I’d been lucky enough to have a plus one invite to the first and third events, and as this was an event in a still open Boots store, I brought my friend Claire along to this too. She loves makeup as much as I do and I think she was even more excited about NYX, if that’s possible!
On arrival we were greeted with a glass of champagne from Oh You Pretty Things (if I hadn’t had my car on Thursday I could’ve got nicely drunk between the three events-bad, bad people getting us drunk!) I had half a glass because I knew I wasn’t going to be driving for a few hours, and then it was time to go and nosy at the counters.
So much beautiful, right? I’ve got my eye on some of the Lip Lingeries, a custom eyeshadow palette, their brow stuff, and an ombre blusher. Basically, just take my next wage NYX, okay?
As I was queueing to pay for the one thing I could afford to buy (a single prismatic eyeshadow to start my custom palette which I will finish when I get paid) Bubbleology arrived with Bubble Tea for us. It was pretty cool how different shops and bars from inside Trinity Leeds got involved with the event like that.
NYX were kind enough to give us invited bloggers a goodybag as a thank you for attending, and just look at the goodies we got! I’m so pleased, I would’ve bought most of this anyway so trying these means I can just buy more colours. Hooray. As well as the NYX we had lots of samples and things from other brands which was cool-who doesn’t love trying different stuff right?
I couldn’t write this post without giving a shout out to the lovely girls working on the counter, who were so happy and cheerful despite a really long day-I’m sure their feet were killing them. Special mention to the girl with the best makeup skills I’ve ever seen-just LOOK.
Have you tried anything from NYX yet? Are you eyeing anything up?
