*The most beautiful notebook I’ve ever seen

I’ve been waiting to do this post for a while, since the #bloggertikiparty way back in July (which was fab, and I will be posting about very soon-life just got in the way I’m afraid) Kirsty, who ran the event, posted the notebook on to me because it didn’t arrive in time for the event, and I received it last week. I took it on holiday to Majorca with me and photographed it on the beach because WHY NOT, and now I get to tell you guys what I really think of it.

Bookblock kindly contacted me before the event asking if I’d like to review one of their notebooks. I LOVE a notebook and when they told me that their notebooks are special because you can choose your own photo for the cover, I was sold.

You can see from the photos that I chose one of my own photographs for the cover,a photo of the padlocks on the railings at Liverpool Docks, taken from this post. I think it looks pretty fab on the cover and I’ve been so looking forward to seeing it. You’d think they’d lose some of the quality when printing but if anything I think they’ve edited it slightly to make it a tiny bit brighter than my original-which looks great.

My notebook came with ruled paper, you can choose from ruled, plain, graph and dot grid. Mine came with a pale blue elastic and inside bookmark-you can choose the colour of these too. I didn’t actually physically design mine myself I e-mailed my photo to Bookblock and they did it for me-but a quick play on their website has shown me it’s really easy to design yours and you can add text, shapes, freehand drawings, and even layer your photograhs if you wanted to make more of a collage kind of look for your cover. Really cool, I definitely need to have a proper look at this when I have more time.

The notebook starts at £12 which does seem a little pricey for a notebook, but then when you think you can totally personalise this and you could pay £12 for a notebook in a high street shop, it’s not bad at all. I think this would make an ideal gift for yourself or someone else, it’s maybe not an everyday notebook but I’m definitely going to buy some for friends for Christmas (hope they aren’t all reading this post…surprise!!)

What do you think of my lovely new notebook? Is it something you’d treat yourself to?

*This item was sent to me by the brand in return for a review. As with everything on Inside Laura’s Head, all words and opinions are my own and I have full editorial control of this post.

I have a notebook from them, it took me nearly a year to get it – was such a mayhem and struggle to get the product. Yet the idea and notebook itself I cannot fault, it’s a great gift as it’s personal and amazing for businesses.
