I’m excited to tell you about something I’ve signed up for, #TheBloggersSnailMail. This is a quarterly event, but my first time taking part, and I’m so pleased to be able to blog about it.
The project is the brainwave of Gemma who blogs over at Lipsticks and Lashes. It’s a way to get to know other bloggers and spread a bit of cheer, whilst also being supportive, motivating and encouraging of each other. You get to know your partner over a period of four weeks-using e-mail, reading each other’s blogs, perhaps following each other on Twitter and Instagram, and any other ways you can think of. You then send a gift to your partner (the deadline for this round is the 29th September) that you think they’d like, along with a postcard or letter telling them what you like about them-basically something that will make them feel as awesome as they truly are. I LOVE this idea, and as soon as I read about it on Helen’s blog Loves and Loathes, I knew I had to be a part of it. So I winged an e-mail over to Gemma, and now I’m taking part. Hooray.
I’ve just e-mailed my partner, so I don’t know much about her yet, although I have been reading her blog already. I’ll introduce her later when we’ve done the parcel swap at the end of September so I can also show you what I bought her and what she bought me. Hooray! It’s going to be a lot of fun shopping for presents for someone as part of #TheBloggersSnailMail and I’m sure I’ll end up buying myself a few bits too.
Have you been involved in anything like this before? What sort of things would you like to receive through the post from a new blogging friend? Would you take part in a future round of #TheBloggersSnailMail?
