Today I’m trying some of my recently bought products. Do you want to see how I got today’s look?
This is a very natural look, as it’s for work-I don’t like to look too made up as I don’t think it comes across as professional in my specific role. However, sometimes I need the confidence that a face of make-up brings.
I got ready quickly this morning so that I could get to work early, as I had a 9:30 meeting (however the time I spent stuck in stop start traffic on the A66 ruined that plan!) I got ready so quickly, in fact, that I forgot moisturiser-and boy I can tell!
I started with my favourite primer, Stila One Step Colour Corrector. This genius product wakes up my skin and corrects any redness-and I have a lot. I sometimes just wear this on its own if I’m really pushed for time.
Second was my Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation. I’m still using a sample I was sent and can’t decide whether or not I like it enough to buy the full size! It certainly feels good on-like I’m not wearing any foundation-but I suspect the colour is a bit too dark for me. It may be that there’s a lighter shade though, I shall research!
Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray eyelid primer went on my eyelids and YSL’s Touché Éclat under my eyes. I was sent the Stay Don’t Stray as a sample and will definitely be buying the full size product. The Touché Éclat has always been one of my must have products as it stops me looking quite so tired when my insomnia gets the better of me!
Stila Custom Colour Blusher is my absolute favourite blusher. It goes on a nice bright pink on me so during the day I use a tiny bit-and if I’m wearing it for a night out I go for more! Gorgeous colour.
Imperfections (ok, spots-not that I have many, I’m blessed with pretty clear skin) were covered with a Number 7 Concealer.
I have Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow in Frozen on my eyelids-a beautiful grey which makes my eyes pop.
On my lips is Makeup Revolution Amazing Care Lipstick in Love Nude-enriched with Argan Oil, this feels lovely on my lips and is a nice natural colour-barely there.
What do you think of today’s look?
