Monday’s on Inside Laura’s Head are for Beauty/Skincare posts and this week I wanted to share some of my favourite budget skincare and beauty products with you. Look out for ‘Top 10 Under £10-Beauty’ in the coming weeks.
1) H & M Face Masks, 99p each
These are my absolute favourite face masks and I have quite a collection, because I can’t go into H & M without buying more. My skin loves these, especially the Coconut Water ones, which really give my skin a moisturising boost. I highly recommend you try these.
2) Coconut Oil, various prices
Coconut Oil can be bought in Supermarkets, Health Food Shops, and even in Superdrug. It’s a multi purpose product that has lots of health benefits and can be used in cooking, but I mainly use it for skincare purposes-as a face mask before a shower, as a hair mask, on my Psoriasis and on really dry skin as a moisturiser. I also sometimes do the oil pulling method-basically swishing the oil around your mouth before spitting it out, to really clean your teeth and gums.
3) EOS Lipbalms
I’ve talked about my collection of these before in An EOS Easter. They are the nicest lipbalms I’ve found, and I have loads. Obsessed, me? Yep! These can be bought online from £5.99.
4) Nivea 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water
I have backup after backup of this, and I use it morning and night (and as soon as I get home and want to remove my makeup) it’s the best cleanser I’ve found, removing my makeup easily and making my skin feel great.
5) Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick, £5
This is a solid cream blush stick that you just rub onto your cheeks and blend in with your fingers. I adore this, it’s so easy to use and looks so natural.
6) Sleek Rose Gold Blusher, £4.49
This is a beautiful pinky gold blusher, which is again easy to use. It adds just the right amount of shimmer to my cheeks and, reading other bloggers’ reviews, seems to suit everyone.
7) MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Laquer, £3.
I own this in most of the colours. The colour is very pigmented, it goes on as a solid, matte colour. Very striking on, and long lasting too.
8) Bluesky Gel Polishes, around £5 each.
These are the polishes I use with my UV lamp. Check out my post next Monday explaining how I do my own gel nails.
9) Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palettes, from £4 each.
Makeup Revolution do the best bargain palettes. If you don’t own one I’d recommend you give them a try. I have far too many to list!
10) Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes, £7.99.
These palettes are also fantastic. If you’re really really on a budget I’d say get two of the Makeup Revolution ones instead of one of these, just so you have more colours-but if £8 is ok for you you will not regret getting any of these beauties. The colours are so soft, buttery and pigmented and I wear mine loads.
