#WildAboutLeeds with The Body Shop

Hello!

The last few weeks have been FAB for blogger events in Leeds, I had a week where I was only at home for a couple of evenings! Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky, if I’m honest. When the e-mail from The Body Shop pinged into my inbox I was thrilled-I’d already seen some of the Leeds Bloggers talking about it on our Yorkshire Bloggers Facebook group (yes, we are that cool) and I was more than a little gutted I hadn’t been invited-so when I DID get invited it made my day.

The venue was Lamberts Yard-I’ve been to a few events there and it’s a great venue, with a bar and a big area to do whatever you fancy with. One event had a pink carpet and chairs down the side for the runway, but this event won-they had a Zebra! And a Panda (don’t worry, no animals were harmed in the making of this event-they were model animals, but they were still hella cool-even if the greedy Zebra did try to eat my Cheesecake-on-a-spoon)

I arrived early to the event, but the team were really nice to me and let me come in, get a drink (Spiced Apple Mocktails, which were AWESOME-it was so nice as a driver to not be stuck with a glass of coke like I am at lots of events-being thought about is lovely) and showed me around. We had a skincare stand (so I had a mini facial, which my skin LOVED) a makeup stand (so obviously I needed to have my makeup done because who doesn’t love being pampered?) and lots of the Christmas products on display for us to have a look at. They also had a photobooth where me and Lizi had some fun with silly props-another lovely touch.

I spent most of the night wandering around chatting to the lovely Leeds girls, and The Body Shop staff (including the lovely Jess who I met at the Huddersfield Pinita Colada launch event, and who is now going to be working at the Leeds store) I basically just had a great time catching up with everyone.

We were shown the Christmas video (#JungleBells-very clever!) and given lots of information about the new Leeds store-the Briggate store has been revamped and is now a concept store, meaning it’s all looking very different and exciting-I’m not going to give anything away, pop in and see them and have a nosy for yourself! It’s always good to hear whats going on with a brand at their event, I enjoyed the sneak preview of the new store-insider knowledge is fun (though by the time you read this it’ll be open anyway)

When we left we were given a MASSIVE goodybag which was so generous-we each got one of their advent calendars and a letter to take into the Leeds store to receive a free personalised BodyButter. I’m so excited to go and get mine.

Thank you so much to all at The Body Shop Leeds for a fantastic event, I hope there are many more to come (and I hope you let me attend them!)

Have you been into the new Leeds store yet? Will you be buying an advent calendar from The Body Shop?

I’ve always loved The Body Shop. You’re so lucky to participate in such an event, I don’t think we have anything like that here in Greece.
