I’ve been wondering whether to write this post for a while, as technically everything could still go wrong. But if it does, I’ll probably talk about it on here anyway and even it that happens, I’ll still be doing this, just back to the searching stage. So…I’m buying a house!

I’ve been lucky in that when I left my job in Darlington a few years ago, I moved back in with my parents. A fair few years later, I’ve found the perfect house, my offer has been accepted, my mortage approved and I’m waiting on a completion date. It’s all very scary, but I’m really excited.
The house is within my price range, needs barely any work (I’ll be changing the kitchen cupboard doors, floor and worktops to my taste, tiling the bathroom floor and painting some of the rooms but that’s it) and it’s three bedrooms with a drive and a decent sized garden-basically, it’s a future family home. It leaves lots of doors open for me and I’m thrilled about that.
I’m already planning my decor, especially my office-oh how much I wanted an office when I was freelancing full time, but good things come to those who wait and my office space is going to be BEAUTIFUL.
I have all sorts of Pinterest boards (of course!) but as a general idea, my bedroom is going to be white, light and airy, think pretty hotel room. My bathroom will also be white, clean and crisp. My office is going to be white with lots of pops of colour, like a Pom Pom Garland and coloured photo frames, a big rug, and lots of other things that make it an inspiring workspace. My living room will be mostly grey, with pops of pale pink and rose gold (I’m such a millennial) and my kitchen is going to be black, white and red. I can’t WAIT to get in there and make the place my own.
Congratulations – hopefully it all stays on track and your in your now home very soon. Your decor ideas sounds lovely and completely up my street (we don’t have alot of white however with a messy 3year old haha). Good luck xx
Congratulations – and fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and you are soon enjoying your new home x
Oh wow congratulations – that is fantastic news, what a big life update!
