When I shared my post talking about how much I spent on travel in 2025, I wasn't shocked at the total but I did start idly wondering what else I could have spent that money on. People have said to me that I should have loads of savings or I should be overpaying my mortgage (I am!) or that I should be replacing my car, which is ten years old but absolutely fine. I couldn't … [Read more...]
What it’s like visiting Atlanta for the World Cup
Have you got World Cup fever? You'll want to know what it's like visiting Atlanta for the World Cup! Until I met J I was never into football. I did find myself becoming a bit more interested around big tournaments like the World Cup or the Euros. Now, I am a Burnley season ticket holder and go to 95% of their home games. Annoying things people do in airports (that we can all relate to)
I'm writing this from Manchester airport departure lounge, waiting for a solo flight to Cologne. It felt like a good post to write-not that serious, but if you're reading this and you do these things-maybe stop, … [Read more...]
Wroclaw’s dwarves (and why you should care about them)
When I first visited Wroclaw in 2018 I knew nothing about the city, and nothing about travel blogging. Some of my content from back then is, well, of it's time-and honestly I'm working through it to bring it up to the quality of work I produce now, so that it's actually useful for you as a reader. Some of my Wroclaw content, written back then and live at the time of writing … [Read more...]
