A Hong Kong photo diary

This Hong Kong photo diary is very photo heavy, and there’s not much information to read. It’s designed to give you a flavour of the city, with each photo or set of photos having a brief description when needed, and can be enjoyed when you may not have the brain space for a lot of reading. I hope you enjoy it!

We did a boat tour around Aberdeen to see the fishing village, including this amazing floating restaurant. It wasn’t expensive, around £18 each, and it was great to see part of Hong Kong that was so different to the high rise buildings of the city.

You can really appreciate the scale and layout of the city from 100th floor Sky 100.

Neon lights and reflections are something I love in my photography. Victoria Harbour is equally as dreamy during an early morning walk along Avenue of Stars as it is with the buildings lit up at night.

The Star Ferry is a popular mode of transport. I was lucky to catch it mostly empty to get these shots.

I was careful, when taking photos inside a temple as people worshipped, to not include them in my shots. Experiencing people celebrating Lunar New Year, wandering around seeing candles burning, smelling the scent of incense and seeing the decorations was such a treat for my camera.

Peak Tram tickets, to see the city from The Peak, were a bargain. Another gorgeous aerial viewpoint.

Shopping Malls in Hong Kong are much more than just their stores. Yes, that’s a rollercoaster-no longer running, but situated in the Dragon Centre! K11 Musea is full of all sorts of art as well as the shops.

Yuen Po Street Bird Garden, where locals take their birds for some air, and Goldfish Street, full of pet shops, were an unusual experience for us.
