A couple of weeks ago, on a snowy evening, I headed over to Leeds, to The Tetley, for a Christmas meal. As a freelancer I don’t HAVE any colleagues, and so I wasn’t expecting to be doing anything for Christmas-and when Jet 2 asked me if I wanted to come to the Jet 2 Bloggers’ Christmas Meal I said yes very quickly. It’s great to spend more time with travel related brands as I’m really trying to up my travel content.
I decided I’d make an effort (as it’s Christmas, y’know) so I put on my gorgeous LaRedoute tulle skirt, a cropped, long sleeved burgandy top from New Look, my favourite Boden boots and my trusty George at Asda leather jacket, a bit of makeup, and headed out to the Jet 2 Bloggers’ Christmas Meal.
I didn’t know who was going other than Emma, so was pleased to see Jennie too-and even more pleased to be sat between them, at the head of the table, no less-I felt very important. The food was lovely, the company even more lovely-it was great to talk to some travel bloggers I’d not met before and of course meet the girls from Jet 2, and talk all things travel with them. I’ll be honest, it’s just made me want to book all of the places we talked about. Bad times for my bank balance.
Jet2 had kindly done a quiz for us-the winner walked away with a trip to Berlin, which given that my trip got cancelled this year, I’m very jealous of-I was TERRIBLE and was never going to win that prize. Jet 2 also had a goody bag for us all-with an advent calendar, a charging bank, a mini speaker (which has been in constant use in my office since I brought it home and charged it up!) and a colouring book with crayons featuring different cities they fly to. They also added some of their brochures, which are NOT helping with my itchy feet.
The girls from Jet2 told us about the amazing number of destinations they fly to-64 outside of the UK, currently, including New York-and I planned trips to each of them in my head.
Thanks to Jet2 for a lovely evening, my bag of goodies and great company! I hope to see you guys again soon.
Have you had a Christmas party this year?
